Overview
--------
Thot Editor is a structured document editor, offering a graphical WYSIWYG
interface under X-Windows. Thot offers the usual functionality of a
word processor, but it also processes the document structure. It
includes a large set of advanced tools, such as a spell checker and
an index generator, and it allows to export documents to common
formats like HTML and LaTeX.

The editor is based on a the Thot library, which is a generic system for
the development of document centered applications based on the concept of
structured active documents. It can be used for building interactive system
as well as automatic processors.

The Thot library is also the basis on which Amaya, the W3C browser/editor,
has been built.
