You can easyly translate the interface of thot in german : you just need to create the dialogue files in the Thot/config directory. The prefix for those file are de-... The files nedded for the dialogue of thot editor are :
de-corrdialogue *
de-drawdialogue
de-inddialogue
de-libdialogue *
de-thotdialogue
de-thotmessage
de-thotversion

Hopefully those marked with an asterisk are included in the amaya distribution (see http://www.w3.org/Amaya) - you may need to check the integrity because some messages have certainely been added since last distrib of thot :(

Well, I tried to compile Thot with lesstif one year ago and it didn't work fine, but it was an earlier version of lesstif. (The widget of windows content wasn't created)...
If you experience Thot with lesstif, it would be a great interest for the communauty. (Widgets are created in source from Thot/thotlib/dialogue files, especially from the MakeFrame function in appdialogue.c ). Please follow your results in this list.

Good luck.
