Software Byzance version 0.1 © INRIA 1998, (11/12/1998), hereinafter Byzance.

Byzance has been developed by Stéphane Bonhomme and Laurent Carcone at the OPERA project, research project of the INRIA (Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et Automatique).

The INRIA holds all the ownership rights on Byzance.

Byzance is under process of registration with the Agence pour la Protection des Programmes (APP).

Byzance is still being currently developed. It is the INRIA's aim for Byzance to be used by the scientific community and industrial partners so as to test it, evaluate it and improve it.
