Bonjour.

I am having a problem getting thoteditor to run on my (small) Linux
machine:
Red Hat 4.2
16M RAM
64M Swap

I installed the binary release for LINUX-ELF from
thoteditor-LINUX-ELF-2.1e.tar.gz

It comes up and starts, but when I try to Edit->Insert->Object->Math, my
entire X session is hung- I cannot switch windows, no mouse clicks are
recognized. I must kill the session with Ctrl-Alt-Bkspace. To the best
of my knowledge, no messages are reported to either the thot message
window or to the terminal window in which thot is started.
Am I short of RAM?

I then compiled thoteditor from
thoteditor-src-2.1e.tar.gz
using lesstif. Again, thot starts okay, but there are no schema
available (e.g. when creating a new document). I have set THOTDIR to
point to the root of the thot source directory (/home/rick/Thot). I
successfully compiled and ran this distribution on Solaris 2.5 with
Motif.

Thanks for any help,

Ric Sorensen
